Jasper with the Hinko peeps

Months and months ago we the Hinko peeps planned a family get-a-way in Jasper.   When things went crazy with my dads health this spring, we feared that our mountain vacation would be very different.  Being there together was almost surreal actually, being together.

We decided to be a little crazy and went white water rafting!!!!!
It was pretty intense and yet cool.  They level rafting 1-6 and this was a 2.5, it was pretty much the max of what I was comfortable doing. Everyone enjoyed it and I am actually kinda proud of us all. My parents waved us off and welcomed us back.

Each evening we hit up the hot springs and it was lovely.  My parents and siblings stayed up at Miette Hot Springs and we camped down the mounting at the Pocohonatas Camp Ground in our trailer.  We had dinner at my parent's cabin each night and then changed into our swimsuits.  We would visit, laugh and the kids would swim.  Some blissful moments, crazy too with everyone but blissful!

The girls might say the highlights were the animals, they are animal lovers after all.

We checked out Athabasca Falls and goodness do we live in a beautiful country!
A little Pyramid lake before we left the mountains.....oh can't wait until we get to go again.

Our final night we had a little family devotional and the nerd that I am had to get everyone this sign.  We CAN DO hard things, we can do hard things as a family! We have the Lord and we have one another.

besties, baba besties

The girls have been chanting this little song they made up, "besties, baba besties" and while it gets a little old when they go on and on and on in the car it does make my heart beam. How lucky they are to have one another.  How lucky we are to have them!!

books with my babes

I love, love, love a good classic book!  Matilda is one of those gems.
I so enjoy reading with my little ladies.  When we read a book with a movie, boy oh boy how cool is that?!  They had never seen Matilda and it is so good, 'THE TRUNCHBOWL' and 'MISS HONEY', so so classic!!!!!!

I hope that the girls will cherish our book reading/story times as much as I do! I sure love our ladies, they are absolutely the joy of my days.  Now that it is summer and we are rolling slow and easy I love when we can pick up our books and snuggle up together.  So grateful for my role as their momma!

art camp gals

The last few years our ladies have done Edmonton Valley Zoo Camp but this year we went for an art camp instead. The girls and I have done ceramics at 4CatsArtStudio and so we knew they do super cool stuff!!!!!  Amelia and Stella along with Finley, had 3 afternoons where they were able to create together.  The results were pretty awesome!  Love when the women are able to try things, have new experiences and develop their talents.

Amelia chooses to be BAPTIZED

Baptism by immersion in water by one having authority is the first saving ordinance of the gospel and is necessary for an individual to become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and to receive eternal salvation. All who seek eternal life must follow the example of the Savior by being baptized and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. ~ lds.org

I could share every image from our girl in front of the temple, they are stunning!  She looks so happy.  This has been a year of anticipation as Amelia looked forward to turning 8 and being baptized!  In all honesty a little nervousness too.  This decision is one she made as she takes her first steps on her personal path of discipleship. She is lucky to have her dad baptize her, pretty special.

It was very special to have a support group of little folk there for Andrew and Amelia.

This little crew of mine, they have my heart. It was a day that felt heavenly, absolutely heavenly.  So proud of our Amelia Ann.

Lots of support for our girl.  We didn't get everyone in this picture but it was wonderful to have a crew around her of people cheering her on and showing such love and support for Amelia.

A tremendous day!

slime party

Slime is kind of a thing right now.  When we started planning our summer plans a slime party evolved. We invited some of our friends and had a great day.  The sun was warm, it was beautiful and the slip n slide, bouncy house and mini pool where definitely put to use. There were twelve kiddos and I do believe they all had a blast!!

These little women, oh my how I love them.  They are the joy of our life!  It is such fun for me to plan and get them to help do these fun things. They are growing up, they can help and do, they can do so much.  I am kind of working myself out of a job. Grateful for these cool and capable little women!!!!

It was a perfect summer day!
