spectacular snow

We woke up to a stunning frost.
It was sooooo beautiful.  Amelia told me as we drove to school talking about how gorgeous it was that this is the reason she "loves winter mom".  I was thinking cool, shocked that your winter love isn't because of FROZEN ;)  Stella and I took a drive down by the river to enjoy the beauty after we kissed Mia and sent her to class.  It spectacular and we were sad to see the frost melt as the day warmed up.

dating the dude

Feeling pretty lucky these days to have this dude as my sidekick in life. He hugs me as I cry, he listens as I talk and holds my hand often. I appreciate it and have felt darn lucky to have him by my side.  We have gotten in a few GREAT dates lately. I actually got to see an Oilers win the other night and then drove back from my Calgary girls weekend to see Fleetwood Mac with the dude.  We have always made date nights a priority but it has felt like a life line this last little while.  Just him and I, just him and I...marching on together.

nearly 20 years

Had a Calgary girls weekend!
It was rad to get some visiting in with old friends, nearly 20 years of friend ship (yeah we are old). Super nice to catch up.  The goal was to be productive with our online scrap booking, I was pleased with what I accomplished. Also super awesome were the sweet deals I found as Cross Iron Mills Mall, shopping equals happy for me.  I am not ashamed to say it!  It know shopping releases happy endorphins.  Amy and I hooked up on Thursday visiting over dinner and well into the early morning hours. I snuck off to the Calgary temple Friday morning which I was very much excited about. I met a friend from Ft. McMurray there and had a great visit. Then Saturday Brandi, Julie, Jodi (Kamryn and Kori) had a lunch date.  The weekend rejuvenated my soul and our ladies had a great time with their dad.

before 9 am

We had fall break this week and opted to just stay home. I wanted some 'normal' days, just our little fam jam at home.

My ladies are heavy into their ballet clothes lately and Stella seriously changes her clothes 10 times a day.  Sometimes one of their princess dresses will slip in but heavy into the ballet outfits.  I am forever getting the girls to put the outfits back into the closet.  There is a lot of twirling and I LOVE IT!!!!!  Best ever is when Stella wears this black ballet outfit, she always manages to put it on backwards and it is hilarious to see her little tush. This particular morning they were all decked out and it wasn't even 9....love these ladies of ours!

35 Years for the Birthday Boy

We are soooooooo lucky to have this guy!!
Mr.P is so darn special to us.

We wanted to honour the birthday boy. He opened his presents before work and we took him out for dinner after ballet.
In our family we celebrate with hats and banners and recently these adorable 'Happy Birthday' glasses. The glasses are pretty much awesome, just like this guy....awesome.

The girls picked out this Oilers sweater, score for him. The cards from the ladies were a special touch. The girls picked me out an apple peeler for my birthday so I would say it was indeed a score for Graham. I mean I love my apple peeler and have used it twice.
We just love this guy!
Happy Birthday!!!

crunching

Each week when we go to ballet and violin I try to bring something fun for little sister.  Being the little sister can be tough sometimes. Lately though crunching leaves has helped to pass the time.  She has her own ballet class on Saturday and soon enough she will have more of her own 'stuff'.  It is fun to be a parent, watching your kids try different things and develop their talents.

When you are little (or big) leaf crunching rocks!!!

time together

I sure missed my Stella.
This week we made a point to have our 'special time' each morning.
She loves her tea parties, paired with pumpkin loaf it was fabulous.
