Auntie Jenn had little Maxwell Graham Noseworthy on Friday June 27th, a crazy 7 weeks early so we have been in a baby haze, smiling, visiting, trying to help and being excited for a new cousin, Canada Day sprung up on us this year. Luckily I have a stash of 'Canadian' pride gear. So we took the day to celebrate the great place we live.
It was such a wonderful day to be together as a little family!!!!
We loaded up the wagon and found a spot on the parade route which was in the shade, sweet. There is something so darling about our city's little parade; tractors and horses, community band playing and just an over all sweet vibe. After the parade we walked a few blocks and got some burgers, chips n pop from the Anglican church, they do it as a fundraiser each year...totally balanced out the parade candy we had eaten. Super cute as we made our way towards the festivities in Pioneer Park we walked passed Amelia's future school and she had to run over to hug it and give her school a kiss hahaha you think she's excited for school?! (she has told me she will probably be nervous and a bit shy the first day though) The city hosted a ton of free and awesome activities. We walked through the farmer's market and listened to the live bands playing country and rock classics. The request from our ladies was to get their faces painted so we waited in that long line to get a kitty (Stella) and a butterfly (Amelia) painted on. The petting zoo line was also long so we opted to pet through the fence, after all we have a rabbit at home to cuddle anytime we want :) Our city also has a heard of sheep that graze on different fields, they were out by the museum and we went to visit of course. We also hit up the local museum so that was cool, I'm embarrassed to say we had never been. It was just beautiful weather and such a fun vibe! There were so many families out with their dogs and so of course we pet a ton of puppies, that was mentioned as a highlight by the girls. The highlight for me was stopping for shaved ice and eating together in the shade before we headed home. Graham and I laid on the grass together while the girls played coming back now and then for bites of the cool treat. It was one of those great family days!!!!!! Oh and the ladies were asleep 3 minutes after getting into their car seats!!!! We didn't do the fireworks, some year by early birds might be able to make it.
