Sunday Shenanigans

So I'll admit it.
I am obsessed with trying to capture the moment.
I am obsessed with trying to document the cuteness.
I am obsessed with having a little collection of family biographies if you will.
I will admit, sometimes I go too far.
These pictures shall serve as a reminder to me that sometimes I need to NOT be so obsessed.

Do I feel a tad bit bad about these pictures? Well yes and no, because of all the mini photoshoots I have put my girlies through this is the only one that things really fell apart and obviously from the photos they fell apart bad.  Yup, full out tears for both.  There were many other days that we managed to snap a few cute ones, documenting Stella's new tooth smile or the braids I could finally get into Mia's hair.  So I guess this is just a reminder to myself  'it ain't always perfect'.
These are our new Easter dresses, darling right?! They totally look like they love the dresses!!
Of course I still think my girls are perfect!!!

Pointing and Painting...favs around our house

So our two little ladies are both really into a few things these days.

Miss Stella is a pointer. She points out things in books, points at parts of our face then eagerly waits for us to name them.  She points at things across the room she wants and is just really into pointing.  It is rather cute to see her chubby little finger pointing.

Miss Amelia is totally into painting.  Sometimes she paints morning, noon and night....no really she does.  We are getting a collection of papers.  The newest is 'painting' her nails, ya I was weirdly proud of this when I saw it.  Loved her colour choice and thought she had done rather well considering she is 2 1/2.  Luckily it washes off and I promised the real stuff once baby goes to sleep.

The snow is melting, almost April yahhhhh!!! Bring on the sun and warmth, I've got a new pair of TOMS I would like to wear.

Oh the Cousins

A cousins photo shoot because they grow so darn quick. Also, Jacey and Amelia were wearing matching hoodies and we needed to photograph that of course.

Some painting happened the other day at Auntie Leslie's house. Cool to see how each of the kiddos tackled or attacked the paints.

We feel gosh darn lucky to have cousins that live near by.  The hope is that these will be positive, life long relationships and it is fun for the sisters to hang out!!!!

Sweet Girls

We are in the 'kid' phase of life!
I have a few good friends that have almost exact replicas of our family: two girls, two years apart. As part of our Feb/March road trip we visited the Jacober family, which is one of those families.  Their sweet little girls are 3 1/2 and 1 1/2,
coupled with my two ladies we had 4 girls under 3 1/2!!!!  We literally did not stop from the time they awoke to the time we tucked in the last babe.
Such fun!
I snapped pics throughout the week trying to capture moments and the sweet stages (usually sweet) these chicks are at.

St. Patrick's Day Preparations
Leprechaun Beards            Shamrock Banner

The Jacobers had a lovely toy room which was like heaven for Amelia and Stella enjoyed all of the attention she received.  It was funny to see the Jacober 'baby' try to entertain our baby...oh how 8 months makes you a big girl. hehehe I can't wait to hit the mall together in another 10 years!!

Banff with the Fam-Jam

So this post is a collection of Banff highlights, totally fun to have family time!
In all of the travels Mr. P and I have done we previously took a fast pace approach to vacations but with little people that just isn't an option.  Honestly, we are digging the slower pace!!! Stella still naps twice a day and we tried really hard to allow her to nap at least one of those at our cabin each day.  We loaded up on groceries amd this resulted in lots of chill time spent together in our cabin. We did do some pretty fun stuff...

Banff Hot Springs ~ Oh ya soooo nice!! Mia may have actually enjoyed playing in the locker more then the hot springs it self.

Just chillin in our cabin.

Gondola ride ~ Mom and Stella stayed back.  Such cool dudes!!

The Fam-Jam getting some 'classic' Banff eats, FUDGE!! Yummers!  We hit this place twice!

Miss Stella really getting into dinner.  The chick is all about eating what the family is eating, big girl!

Home Sweet Home

The Polischuk peeps have been on the road a lot the last few weeks. We have been up north to Fort Mac visiting the parents, south to Medicine Hat visiting friends and then west to Banff just our little family for some much needed RnR.  We have been busy, having a ton of fun and have a ton of stuff I would like to post about, hopefully I will get to it...I just love that blogging is like a virtual journal for our family, I hope to print it all out someday to add to our family photo albums!

Miss Mia was super pumped to be home and see all of her 'stuff'.  This morning we were crafting at the kitchen table, she pulled out her valentine's stickers and stuck this one to her nose, ADORABLE!!  I thought it was so cute that she pulled out this sticker 'Hug Me', yes I will my sweet little girl!  We have recently been struggling with whining around our house so moments like these are welcomed.

In other family news: put our house up for sale.
AHHHHHH!!! I am reminded of one of the suckie parts of moving...striving to maintain an immaculate home, whilst living in it.  After we talked with our realtor she said list sooner rather than later, so we have.  It has been two weeks and we have had a ton of showings, which was great when we were away but sucks now that we are home.  Hence the post bedtime Dairy Queen family outing - Tula was chilling in the car.

Stella was totally entralled with the ice cream and Mia tested out the use of a straw instead of a spoon.

One awesome thing is that we came home to this.... our house!

PS It is soooooooo fabulous to have Mr. P around, seriously great!
He is finally done his shutdown.
We really do like him.

100+ days

We are well past the 100 day mark of shutdown life, it is not fun!
I was feeling sorry for myself the other day so the girls and I needed to have a little fun, we ordered pizza and had a picnic movie night. You can tell from the pics below that Amelia was rather into the Lion King, Stella more into wishing she could eat pizza.

I am honestly so excited to have Mr. P back.  A few times recently he has come home early and joined us for supper...WHOA weirdness to our routine...but so nice!  I can only imagine how excited he is getting to be done.

We also had rootbeer floats!! AWESOME!!! I am such a fan of my big lady, she cracks me up with her expressions and enthusiasm for things.  She was pumped to have this special treat!

Cheers to not many shutdown days left to go!!  ~ Mrs. P
