Christmas Day for the Polischuk's was kind of different this year...we were alone! In our nine years of married life this was only the second time we spent the day alone and the first time we were on a cruise sightseeing and getting all tanned, so frankly we didn't really miss our family. This year we did see family before and after so although a little weird, it was kind of a special day just us. The little ladies slept in till almost 9am (pretty sure that will NEVER happen again) and we leisurely opened gifts, had breakfast, and enjoyed one another. I opted to cook a ham and popped a bunch of premade Ukrainian dishes in the oven so the meal was easy. We had Mr. P all to ourselves and just hung out, stayed in our pajama's and played.
The day was wonderful!
I love Mia's expression upon discovering her and Stella's dollhouse from Santa and the tiara, oh the tiara, pretty cool!
Stella was just pumped to have some new stuff to chew on!
So per family tradition, jammies on Christmas Eve. Well, my beef cake baby Stella didn't fit her jammies that I'd bought earlier in the fall so they are sporting hand-me-down jammies from the Jacober girls. They match, were warm and totally look adorable so it all worked out in the end. (We score lots of cute stuff from sisters Ember and Eden)
Due to the 9am wake up Christmas Day clearly church didn't happen for us but these ladies had adorable Christmas dresses to wear (Thanks again Jacober peeps). Luckily church happens every Sunday and they looked so darn beautiful - I think!!!
Merry Christmas ~ Mrs. P
